Dr. Li Zhou is a cardiologist with special training and experience in the diagnosis and treatment of heart rhythm disturbances. This subspecialty of cardiology is known as cardiac electrophysiology.

Dr. Zhou works with experienced staffs in arrhythmias service, using state-of-the-art technology to uncover underlying causes of heart rhythm abnormalities.

Dr. Zhou performs the full breadth of cardiac procedures to evaluate and manage heart rhythm disturbances, including: 

  •     Electrophysiology studies
  •     Radiofrequency ablation
  •     Atrial Fibrillation Ablation
  •     Permanent pacemaker implantation
  •     Biventricular pacemaker implantation
  •     Defibrillator implants
  •     Tilt-table testing
Dr. Zhou received his medical school education at Suzhou Medical College and Shanghai Second Medical University in China. He completed his residency at Yale University affiliated Norwalk Hospital and his fellowships in cardiology and electrophysiology at the University of Iowa Hospitals and Clinics.

Dr. Zhou joined Appleton Cardiology Associates, partners in the Appleton Heart Institute, in July 2006 and maintains a full-time clinical practice in cardiology and cardiac electrophysiology. He is board certified in internal medicine, cardiovascular disease and cardic electrophysiology.  He is a fellow of the American College of Cardiology and a member of the North American Society of Pacing and Electrophysiology.
