Valerie has been employed by Appleton Cardiology Associates since 1994. She received her bachelor of science degree in nursing from the University of Wisconsin–Oshkosh. Upon completion of her undergraduate degree, she spent several years working as a registered nurse on the cardiovascular unit at Appleton Medical Center. She recently completed her master of science degree in nursing at the University of Wisconsin–Madison. She has clinical experience with cardiovascular care in outpatient and inpatient settings. Her professional interests are in cardiovascular risk factor modification, coronary artery disease and heart failure. Valerie is certified by the American Nurses Credentialing Center as a clinical nurse specialist and has obtained certification from the American Association of Critical Care Nurses as a critical care nurse specialist.
